Who is eligible for the disability tax credit?

Can I apply for someone who is deceased?

Yes, providing you have a will and a copy of the death certificate and the doctor is still available.

How long does it take?

The entire process can take from 3-6 months.

How much money will I get back?

The amount that you get back from the government depends on many factors: age, duration of disability and tax payable. Amounts vary from $1,500.00 to $35,000.00.

Will I have to pay taxes on the money I receive?

No, the money is non-taxable.

How much does it cost?

It costs nothing to apply. You pay only when you receive money from the government.
